Stack of Three Shaker Oval Boxes — Sizes #1 to #3 A versatile trio of handcrafted Shaker oval boxes in red, yellow, and black milk paint finishes. The boxes can be neatly stacked or nested for compact storage, making them both decorative and practical. This set includes: Size #1 (Red finish): 5” long × 3” wide × 1¾” tall Size #2 (Yellow finish): 6” long × 4” wide × 2¼” tall Size #3 (Black finish): 7½” long × 5” wide × 2¾” tall Construction Details: Materials: Sides are made from maple or birch; top and bottom boards are quartersawn pine. All lumber is milled at our shop in Embden, Maine. Joinery: Each swallowtail joint is individually hand-cut by Robert LeHay, ensuring every box is one of a kind. Fasteners: Copper tacks—made on original 19th-century machines—secure the bands and boards. Finish: Painted boxes receive two coats of tung oil; natural finishes receive five.
