"Admire Me"The Admirable Grasshopper is a native critter to Illinois prairies and open woodlands. Grasshoppers are a favorite childhood memory of mine. Spending summer days hunting these jumping friends all over the fields behind my house - so much fun. So much connection to nature. They really do have admirable markings. Printed on white thick cotton paper with four layers of yellow, orange, light green, and dark green inks. Printed reductively from one hand carved woodblock sourced from a sustainable forest in Hokkaido, Japan. Title, artist signature, edition number, and year of production appear on front of each print and on the back of each frame. Each print is unique as they must be printed one at a time, reapplying ink to the block. Slight variations will occur.
