I always loved catching these critters when I was little and noticing their different markings and colors. This particular grasshopper is the Sword Bearing Conehead - native to the Illinois prairies. I like to refer to these little creatures as "green crickets."  Printed on white thick cotton paper with tan and brown inks from a hand carved Shina wood block sourced from a sustainable forest in Hokkaido, Japan.
