Corypha utan can reach heights of up to 98 feet and its enormous fan-shaped leaves can reach up to 30 feet in diameter making it one of the largest palm species in the world. The terminal inflorescence, formed after 50 to 80 years of vegetative growth, holds the record of being the world's largest flowering structure and produces millions of flowers and tens of thousands of seeds.
