Japan’s music scene, particularly its techno label Sublime, released this album on June 29, 1994, alongside Ken Ishii's “Reference To Difference.” “Acid Mt. Fuji” blends mystical ambient acid and futuristic minimal techno, inviting listeners on a psychedelic pilgrimage with reverb echoes, forest recordings, 303 synths, and electronic percussion. This album, a unique blend of early '90s Western styles and the essence of Yokota's native Japan, merges Japanese new age and sparse electronic music, resulting in a free, organic, and energetic recording.
