1789 wines Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2013

This phenomenal wine is the personal project of Isabelle Dutarte, one of the Willamette Valley's longest tenured and best winemakers. Her wines always show finesse and silky texture and rich, precise aromas. 2013 was a vintage made for winemakers: Delicious gobs of strawberry, raspberry, and blood orange burst out of the glass with baking spices like allspice and nutmeg while dried rose petals and crumbly clay soil appear as grace notes. The palate is lithe, medium bodied and as tense with fresh acidity as the day it was bottled. This wine has been delicious now for a decade, and we're lucky that there's still some left.
