Resume-Building: Updating Or Starting From Scratch ~ with Clare Hancock

Resumes are another form of professional communication; they present who you are in a matter of seconds. Some employers even have a system through which they filter resumes, and you've got to make sure that you have utilized that page to the best of your ability. This workshop will cover elements and components that contribute to the overall success and effectiveness of resumes, such as audience awareness, efficient use of space, clear and purposeful word choice, as well as organization of information. *Clare Hancock holds a Masters in English from Texas A&M University and is currently applying for PhD candidacy in Adult Education. Her research experience includes digital humanities and scholarship, academic composition, pedagogy / andragogy, and women writers from the 18th-19th centuries – with a special focus on Jane Austen.
