Be inspired by the combination of traditional charcoal and the modern impact of color blocking with this landscape of the American Southwest. The colors of the traditional landscape have been pulled out of the scene and placed as block palette colors at the bottom of the piece. Stripping the landscape of the sun's colors requires the viewer to see the land for all the texture it gives - its highlights and shadows, its rocks and plants - giving a new way to view a traditional scene.
