7/6/24- KOREA WORKSHOP: Introduction to Flourishing

Join me for a day of flourishing in Seoul, Korea this summer! ✨ Introduction to Flourishing Date: Saturday, July 6, 2024Location: Seoul, Korea near Yeouido Park. Exact location will be emailed to you after registrationTime: 11AM-4PM (This includes a 45 minute lunch break) This introductory workshop will take you through the basic concepts of what I love to do- flourishing! I will share guidelines to flourishing, demo flourish examples based on Copperplate script, and we will work on sketching out flourishes together. My desire is that by the end of the class, you will have a more confident framework when it comes to flourishing and leave with a more trained eye to know how to implement graceful curves/extensions to your letters. Having some experience in calligraphy is recommended as I will not be teaching the basic letterforms; however, since we will be using a pencil for the majority of the class - Whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced calligrapher, all are welcome! The following materials will be provided for you: Workshop instructional booklet Practice Paper Students should bring: Pencil (mechanical pencil is preferred) Eraser *Optional - You can follow along the entire class with a pencil but feel free to also bring pointed pen or a brush pen Penholder Nibs Ink *Class will be taught in English**Class size will be limited to 16 students with a minimum of 10 required for the workshop***Registration is non-refundable but transferable.
