Barbara Lewis This 1960s monochromatic linoleum block print still life is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa. 1960s Linoleum Block Print on Paper 6"x5" unframed Estate stamped lower right. Good vintage condition, minor stain upper right and fingerprints on the top.
