My tribute to our ancestral mothers who paved the way for what we know as the modern day gynecological practices we use today. Not much is known about Anarcha, Betsy, Lucy, and Dr. Sims but I encourage you to research them. This is also a tribute to me and women who have experience losing a child. I lost my 4th child while painting this (that was hard to type) and the experience was revealing, gratifying and def scary. I didn't realize how much I was affected by the loss and feeling lost. Painting her help me overcome that pain. I find strength from our ancestors and the women and men in my life. I thank the creator for all forms of life. SUN. WATER. LIFE.
