VTG 1980s Japanese Sake Bottle Ao Fushimi (伏見 青) Tokkuri Geisha Samurai. New never opened with Original Cork. Sake, a Japanese alcoholic beverage, is made from rice, water, koji, and yeast. Traditionally sake is sipped cold, hot, or on ice, but also with soda and/or lime juice. Unopened, sake is best drunk within 12 months of the bottling date or 2 years if kept in a cool storage/refrigerated. When unopened, sake does not spoil, but the flavors and aromas can change over time. This authentic and vintage Japanese Sake bottle is a Tokkuri Ceramic Jug/bottle with cork. Japanese Sake is served to the table in a ceramic vessel up to 300ml in size called a Tokkuri. The bottle is made from Mukaishima Porcelain Pottery. Mukaishima Island is famous for making fine porcelain pottery. The lovely picture features a Geisha woman sitting on a wood bench under a weeping Willow tree on the front of the Tokkuri.
