Like New, Old Store Stock. Vintage 1982 Beatrix Potter Tom Kitten Hanging Ornament from Schmid. Never used. In Excellent condition for its age. Free of cracks, chips, stains, and crazing.Hand-painted polished glaze ceramic ornament. The Tale of Tom Kitten begins with three feline siblings – Mittens, Tom Kitten, and Moppet – tumbling about the doorstep and playing in the dust. Their mother, Mrs. Tabitha Twitchit, expects "fine company" for tea so she fetches the children indoors to wash and dress them before her friends arrive.A shiny glaze covers Tom Kitten and shows off his sky blue pants and jacket with yellow buttons. He is a vibrant ginger tabby which is beautifully detailed. Original tag is still attached to the original gold cord of this ornament. It is stamped on the back “c FW Co 1982” and has the red Schmid sticker. Tom Kitten was originally purchased for my former store as part of my Beatrix Potter Schmid collection.
