Like New, Old Store Stock.  Vintage 1983 Beatrix Potter Sally Henny Penny Hanging Ornament from Schmid. Never used. In Excellent condition for its age. Free of cracks, chips, stains, and crazing.Hand-painted polished glaze ceramic ornament. Sally Henny Penny is in the story Ginger and Pickles a shop that carries everything that closes. Sally Henny Penny sent out a printed poster to say that she was going to reopen the shop--Henny's Opening Sale! Grand cooperative Jumble! Penny's penny prices! Come buy, come try, come buy! The poster really was most 'ticing.A shiny glaze covers a vibrant “Sally Henny Penny” and shows off her ginger body, purple hat and apron. She is a delightful character with her two little yellow chicks beneath on the mossy green grass. Original tag is still attached to the original gold cord of this ornament.
