1920s Antique Japanese Satsuma Plate Moriyama Mori-Machi KANNON Goddess
Antique Japanese 7 1/4 in Satsuma Plate Hand painted Gilt Moriyama Mori-Machi KANNON 1920’s. This plate is in Excellent Antique condition for being almost 100 years old. This is a beautiful Moriyama Mori Machi porcelain plate of Kannon made in Japan between 1926-1929. Marked on the bottom. Hand-painted with a brown background and a bright colorful design. Has 2 Japanese building in background and 3 palm shaped trees. Elaborate raised relief detail. Richly colored with gilded gold, orange, royal blue, green, raised yellow dots and lines adding to the texture patterned enamel paint. A very attractive oriental collector plate. Display on shelf, in a glass cabinet or on the wall grouped with other decorative oriental plates. This plate belonged to my grandmother.
