Tatreez on Totes with Badan Collective and Lulu & May (Memphis, TN)

ABOUT THE CLASS: This is an advanced workshop ideal for those with some embroidery experience (even if as simple as having sewn in a button on a shirt before), or for those who already practice tatreez and are looking to elevate their skill. There will be a 30 minute teaching portion in the beginning where brief Palestinian history is covered, followed by a demo on the mechanics of cross-stitching and utilizing Waste Canvas on a tote bag. The rest of the workshop is hands-on. Students will take home their tote! **Students must have some prior embroidery experience to join (something as simple as sewing a loose button). This is an introductory class to Waste Canvas. It is not a beginner class.
