10'0" x 23 1/8" x 3 1/8" The Black Pearl is the ideal choice when surfing heavier, more powerful waves. Originally designed for waves like Chuns & Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu, this longboard has a zing to it, especially when surfing in the pocket. It features a narrower square tail with 50/50 pinched rails and a very unique bottom — a double belly on the tail and a single belly on the nose. The widest part of the board is below center. Although this board excels in powerful surf, it works well at waves like Sano, Church, and Cottons. It turns on a dime and is a very versatile log worth having in your quiver. Like all of our longboards, the Black Pearl features more tail rocker than nose rocker. This is key for a functional noserider. More tail rocker will slow the board down but make it looser whereas less tail rocker will provide better gliding / trimming ability but make it stiffer to turn.
