Engineered to mimic a military aircraft radar, encased in durable matte black ceramic, two rotating discs display the hour and minutes, indicated by a passenger plane (the inner plane/minute) and a fighter plane (the outer plane/hour), while the second hand is represented by the radar sweep (the thin red line).
