A&T Four Pen on Paper Print (2023)

  As an alumni of the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University, and a visual arts major, this is truly a pleasure to commericate the A&T Four using  pen on paper. Let me walk you down memory lane on what makes this piece of art so special.  On February 1st, 1960 in Greensboro, North Carolina, four A&T freshmen students, Ezell Blair, Jr. (Jibreel Khazan), Franklin McCain, Joseph McNeil and David Richmond walked downtown and “sat - in” at the whites–only lunch counter at F.W. Woolworth’s store. They refused to leave when denied service and stayed until the store closed. Their brave actions led to the desegregation of the Woolworth's lunch counter in July 1960 and made a significant impact on other events in civil rights history.
