#002B Feliz Navidad

Feliz Navidad In 1972, I stayed with a friend in the small village of Truchas in the high mountains of Northern New Mexico. It was December. I had never seen snow so deep, mountains so high, skies so blue, nor felt such a crisp cold. Magpies and Aspen trees were new and exotic to me. A Spanish village was beyond anything I had ever known. Still, today for me, there is such a richness of cultures and natural beauty in this area that I am deeply drawn to it and enriched by it. I hope I have captured the feeling of the area in my depiction of 'Feliz Navidad' from the high mountains of New Mexico.
