The Inspiration Behind the 2024 Design:This year’s ornament celebrates Glaciers: the mighty landscape designers of Mother Nature and the unparalleled scenic wonders their prehistoric predecessors left as their masterpieces. As home to over 3,000 alpine glaciers, Washington State is the second most glaciated state in the US after Alaska. Of these, 186 have official names, and one born in the 1980’s is known to be the youngest in North America. These ever-changing frozen rivers of ice shaped and sculpted some of the most awe-inspiring scenery found in the place we call home.
