Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) is an important marker for thyroid health which governs energy and metabolism. TSH acts as a signal that tells the thyroid when to produce more thyroid hormone. Abnormal thyroid levels may result in weight changes, heart rate changes, sleeping problems, hair loss, anxiety, or fatigue. Diagnostic Blood Test: Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Note: This test may exhibit interference when sample is collected from a person who is consuming a supplement with a high dose of biotin. Cease biotin supplementation at least 72 hours prior to blood draw.
