It was created using traditional monotype techniques and a play with ink and textures to create this unique print. Measures 8 x 10 inches. From the maker: Sarah is an artist and designer based in Cold Spring, New York. Her artistic focus is monotypes, one-of-a-kind works created by painting directly onto a plate and running the plate through a printing press. Sarah is drawn to this style of printmaking because it always includes an element of surprise. Monotypes can also not be reproduced and therefore differ from other printmaking processes like intaglio or lithography where the plates are etched. Sarah likes to utilize the unique and unexpected textures of both natural and man-made objects such as vegetable wrappers, bubble wrap, leaves or dried flowers in her work. Her inspiration stems from things she sees in her everyday life in Cold Spring and New York City, memories of her travels and h
