Golden Universe

The Golden Universe triptych is a joyous celebration of the abundance and the incredible world of possibilities that we can have in our lives.  This was the first piece that I painted when I moved to New York in 2018. I had just moved into my apartment with two suitcases and the only piece of furniture that I had was my couch. I remember going to an art store, getting art supplies, and painting this triptych. I felt simultaneously scared and excited by the new possibilities that were opening for me.  This triptych represents a clean slate, a new beginning. The blues are representative of water, that is ever flowing and ever changing. The pale orange was a contrast to the blue and represents a different direction that is possible in our journey. The splashes of saturated gold are the moments of glory and abundance that we need to notice and celebrate.
