Metamorphosis

This piece first started in 2018 as a decorative piece. But in 2021, about a year after the inception of our global pandemic and upheaval, this piece changed for me when I visualized what it could become.  We are all made of continuously moving particles. Change is the only constant that we have.  The years 2018 thru 2021 illuminated some of the darkness within ourselves, as well as the world around us. 2020 gave us clarity in our vision. 2021 is here to give us light.  This piece represents the merging of opposing counterparts that we all have within ourselves – the masculine vs. the feminine energies, the dark vs. the light, coming together into a state of homeostasis. This piece is about transformation and finding that inner balance within yourself.  It is about shedding the skin of the past and allowing new experiences to crack us open and fill us with joy, happiness, and positive new experiences.
