Original - oil on canvas 16"x 20" 2020 began the COVID-19 pandemic that put people into lock-down and isolated to be safe. At first the COVID seemed to attack only minorities and with all the hate, blatant racism, civil-rights fighting, Black Lives Matter police brutality issues, voter suppression and basic chaos all around this country, it seemed to be another nail in the coffin. I painted this model into a safe nook with her mask at the ready and all of the chaos surrounds her in the form of graffiti on the wall. She waits patiently for the end of it all.
