Natural phragmite reeds are the perfect choice for your native solitary bee house needs, whether you are just getting started or are in need of a refill.   Spring mason bees love the length and varying diameters of these reeds.  Even better, one end comes capped (they were cut at the reeds node) making one less step for you to take and they naturally push water away making them more weather safe than some other options.  Reeds can be easily opened with a knife or razor and a simple turn of the wrist at the end of the season to get the bee cocoons out safe and sound.  The best part is they are naturally sustainable and earth friendly!
