Made just down the road in Kansas City, the Browne Amplification - Protein Dual Overdrive, here in black, is a dual overdrive pedal featuring two classic circuits. The 'Blue Side' brings the overdrive sound used on countless recording and live rigs with a natural, less compressed, and more open overdrive tone, with an extended top-end. The 'Green Side' delivers a classic Nashville-style overdrive, that brings a compressed, chewy and darker overdrive sound, with some added mid-range punch and a tighter low-end that eliminates some of the woofiness in the bass. With some internal customization as well for utilizing a loop switcher, the Protein Dual Overdrive is a well-built, versatile overdrive box.
