17.09 MING x Massena LAB, Honey

Massena LAB is proud to present the 17.09 MING x Massena LAB, our first collaboration with MING, and MING’s first collaboration with any other brand. This collaboration marks a partnership between two friends and colleagues: renowned photographer and watchmaker Ming Thein and William Massena. The MING x Massena LAB features an intricate, hexagonal honeycomb dial inspired by vintage Rolex dials of the mid-century. Surrounding the central honeycomb is a circularly-brushed ring to compliment its patterned center. The hours, which appear to float above the dial, are etched into the underside of the crystal and filled with Super-LumiNova for increased visibility in low light. MING and Massena LAB logos are placed at three and nine o’clock. The case of the 17.09 MING x Massena LAB is constructed from polished and brushed 316L stainless steel, which recalls the “padellone” (or “little frying pan” in Italian) cases of the Rolex 8171.
