Maya Moon Cacao Nibs are artisanally prepared by Indigenous Mayan mothers in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala. Sourced from single-origin beans grown in the cloud forests of Alta Verapaz, these nibs offer a bold chocolate taste, rich nutrients, and a direct connection to the sacred roots of cacao. Our Criollo cacao is grown with love and care by Q’eqchi’ farming families who practice regenerative agroforestry. After the fruits are harvested, the beans are fermented and sun‑dried, then brought to our community workshop in San Marcos La Laguna. There, just as our grandmothers have done for generations, the cacao is toasted on a comal over open fire and ground on stone in the traditional way.
