"Antique Tiles" Tapestry

This design features authentic medieval tiles from the city of Caltagirone, the capital of Sicilian ceramics. We restored them to their original beauty and arranged them in this infinity pattern. Teal is the main color, with accents of golden yellows and ultramarine blue. This tapestry will bring a Mediterranean vibe to any room, and can also be used as a cover for furniture.  Caltagirone is famous all over the world for its ceramics whose production started thousands of years ago, during the Greek domination. Lots of extraordinary works of art are still preserved in the city’s Museum of Pottery and all over the alleys that connect the town - even public benches are made of ceramics! The incredible creativity of its artisans is best admired in the most famous landmark, a staircase at the center of the town whose 142 steps are all decorated with hand-painted ceramic tiles. For all these reasons, UNESCO has listed Caltagirone among the World Heritage Sites in 2002. We wanted to bring you
