Cabbage (red Kilmaro) OG - live plant

Annual Vegetable Brassica oleracea Full Sun.  Well drained and fertile soil.  5-8" diameter heads. The seeds to start these plants came from Fedco " Reminiscent of a rhodolite garnet, dark reddish-purple and solid as a polished gemstone. With a small core and dense head, Klimaro stores very well and has excellent cold tolerance, withstanding temps in the low 20s. The round heads grow high on tall plants, making them easy to harvest. In taste trials we found Klimaro to have a good flavor and a high crunch factor." At Meeting House Farm we grow these cabbages for decoration as much as for eating.  Our kitchen garden walk ways are lined with these cabbages and calendula.  As a side note - we still have these in our fridge in February as we are writing out this description.  They store well.
