A pair of grooving planes made from either cherry or beech and a suitable wood for the skate and wedges. Blades are 1/8 in. wide, and set to cut a groove 1/8 in. from the edge of board. In other words, they will be identical in form and function to the pair I explained how to make in the Fine Woodworking article.
