Lutz Greenleaf Beet

Large, red beet especially well suited for winter storage. These have gorgeous tops: if you get the watering just right, you can have a huge yield of greens at harvest time which blanch and freeze beautifully.  If you want the large beautiful beets that are the potential of this variety, plant by June 1 here in the Methow. They don’t seem to size up if planted later.   ~150 seeds per packet
