#101 Tom Knisely- Boundweave and Krokbragd   Three full days Wed-Fri  9am-4pm  Bldg 9 Center  $300   Skill level:  Intermediate Workshop Description:  Boundweave - The bold patterns created in weft faced twill are often associated with saddle blankets and the rugs of the American Southwest. The thick and heavy nature of this weave makes it ideal for rugs, saddle blankets, placemats, table runners and hot pads. Krokbragd is a 3 shaft weft faced twill associated with the textiles of Scandinavia. You will weave a sampler 13 inches width. The patterns develop following familiar twill treadlings, but weaving with multiple shuttles each carrying a different color of yarn. 2. 3, and 4 shuttles weave in a rotation following the different treadling patterns.Each student will weave on their own loom.
