  1 Of The Girls originated in Cleveland, Ohio during a period when numerous girl groups were emerging in the music industry (SWV, BLACKGIRL, SWEET 'N' LO, BROWNSTONE). The majority of the music was produced by Cleveland native Gerald Levert. Some notable tracks include "Do Da What?" which is provocative, "Ain't Giving Up Nothing" which is confrontational, "When We Kiss" which has a jazzy vibe, and "Handle With Care" which is a heartfelt ballad. Each member of the group has strong vocal abilities and effectively takes the lead on different songs.
