We are offering A Pair of 1832-33 English Sterling Footed Salvers by London Silversmith Benjamin Smith. These Rare salvers are marked "B Smith", "Duke St" and " Linn Inn Fields" with the Lion Passant, Leopard Head, date letter and duty mark George 111 Details on these beautiful heavy salvers feature a shell & wave raised border with center foliate design and crest and three foliate bracket feet. These heavy salvers obviously were well loved & used, with a lot of history. At the center of both salvers is the Crest for the English 33rd Regiment (1830-1855) The Battles of Seringapatam and Waterloo. In 1853 Queen Victoria renamed the Regiment, Motto & Crest in the honor of the Duke of Wellington.
