This young lady was a woman of means as her beautiful gold jewelry would indicate.  This miniature portrait was especially loved as one can tell by the expertly handled later velvet backing  and the well cut inner mat. The oval portrait is in a period black lacquered antique frame.  Approx. Dimensions:Height: 6.5" Width:5.25" Condition:This early 19thc miniature portrait is in beautiful condition. The oval painting has been matted at a later date and the easel the picture rests on is a later addition. The old black lacquer wood frame is of the period.
