Abbot Purseweb Spider (Sphodros abotti)

Abbot Purseweb spiders (Sphodros abotti) are a beautiful, smaller species of mygalomorph native to the southeastern United States. They build long, tubular webs along the sides of trees and other solid structures. Sphodros are popular amongst primitive spider enthusiasts and are a must have for any native arachnid enthusiast. Currently available specimens are field-collected sub-adults/adults.
