Small-Scale Irrigation

How your gift helps Traditionally, in the mountain village of Dak Xieng Ah, Laos, the local diet did not include much in the way of vegetables - perhaps a few roots and leaves from the forest. But these days people are learning how to grow and prepare vegetables to improve the family diet and also to earn a small income from selling the excess produce. To grow healthy vegies they need a reliable water supply in the village. TEAR's partner World Concern (Laos) is working with the community here to establish a small-scale irrigation system for watering gardens and rice paddies.
