The company was founded by industrialist and entrepreneur Manoel Vieira de Araújo in the 1930s, and is still family-owned to this day. Viarco, which is an acronym for Vieira Araújo & Companhia, has been brought back into the spotlight thanks to A Vida Portuguesa, a Lisbon-based, women-owned shop focused on the traditional craft of Portugal. This special edition is dedicated to the generations of students who have learned to write with the classic writing utensil. This set of two pencils comes in a special edition box that includes one pencil for a soft black effect and another pencil made of water soluble graphite.
