Northern-Bred Queen Honey Bees – Raised on Our Farm Our Queen Honey Bees are raised right here at Moon's Gold Apiary from our own overwintered stock. We select only from the strongest colonies—those that have proven their productivity, gentleness, and resilience through our tough New York winters. Each queen is bred from hives that demonstrate: Excellent honey production Calm, manageable temperament Strong mite and disease tolerance These are true northern queens—never shipped south or raised in warmer climates. Our bees are born and bred in New York and stay here year-round. Availability: Pickup only – we do not ship queens. Weather-dependent, but earliest availability is typically June. Contact us early to reserve, as supplies are limited and dependent on the season.
