The Jouir tables are a classic design in the MTHARU collection. It is a philosophical exploration into material usage with form. The design explores the idea of continuity through the form, and the idea of ornamenting scars through the welding process. The continuously rolled sheet of raw black steel is welded using melted bronze rather than conventional welding that is ground off and then painted over.
