Rhoplex Emulsions
Rhoplexes are water-based acrylic emulsions used in a multitude of conservation applications. Several different Rhoplex formulations are available. Check the description below to find the best Rhoplex product for each application. Rhoplexes can be paired with Acrysol WS-24 or ASE-60 to modify their properties as well. Each Rhoplex is available in quart, gallon or 5 gallon sizes. Rhoplexes are not recommended for shipping in winter, due to freezing concerns. Rhoplex MC-76: A milky-white emulsion with low viscosity. Originally designed as a masonry bonding agent. MC-76 has a solids content of 46-48% and a pH of 9.5 to 10.0. Often used in plaster conservation or in tandem with Rhoplex 1950 for wall or mural repair. Rhoplex 1950: More flexible than Rhoplex MC-76, Rhoplex 1950 has a higher solids content of 60-63% and a pH of 5. It is considered the replacement for the discontinued LC-76. It is an excellent sealant and often used in mixtures for patching or bonding. Rhoplex 2235M
