The Silicone rubbers, when used to make molds, offer high fidelity reproductions, capture delicate details, master intricate shapes and hold severe undercuts. They are widely recognized as the superior moldmaking materials that are easy to use. Silastic 3110 RTV Rubber, formerly Silastic A. White in color, this is the lowest viscosity of the Silastics. It is also the easiest to work with and pour. It fills tiny crevices and indentations and does not require vacuum de-airing. Use only with Catalysts S (formerly known as Catalyst 1) or Catalyst 4. Catalyst S is a blend of active catalysts in an inert silicone paste and is easier to use than Catalyst 4 which is a 100% active material.
