This album was released on August 8, 1966 and just two weeks later certified Gold by the RIAA on August 22, 1966 for one million dollars worth sold. Revolver contained some of the Fab Four's classic hits and was highly praised by critics. It featured "Eleanor Rigby" (the best-selling song of 1966), "Taxman", "Got To Get You Into My Life", "And Your Bird Can Sing", Ringo showcase "Yellow Submarine" and more.
