RIAA Gold 45 award for Blondie hit "Heart Of Glass", which was released in January 1979. The 45 rpm single was certified Gold by the RIAA on April 6, 1979 for one million copies sold. Remember Blondie drummer Clem Burke (1954-2025) with this award. From the band's third studio album Parallel Lines, released in 1978, "Heart Of Glass", became the group's first #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and also reached the top spot on the UK and several other world charts.
