Carole King Tapestry 1970s Disc Award Ltd - RARE

Vintage and in great condition, this is a 1970s label award (i.e. non-RIAA) made by Disc Award Ltd. recognizing success of the classic Carole King album Tapestry. Penned almost entirely by the experienced Tin Pan Alley songwriter herself, King's breakout album as an artist is one of the few RIAA Diamond-certified (10 million copies sold) albums by a female artist and one of the best selling albums of all time. It also won four Grammy awards in 1972 including Album Of The Year. Hit singles included "It's Too Late" and "I Feel The Earth Move" which both went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, along with "You've Got A Friend", "So Far Away" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman". Quickly going Gold in 1971, by July 17, 1995 the album was by 2022 certified 14x Multi-Platinum for over 14 million sold.
