Alexandria Alpine Strawberry - Fragaria vesca Seeds

Approximately 75 heirloom, open-pollinated, non-gmo, and pesticide free perennial Alexandria Alpine Strawberry (Fragaria vesca) seeds per packet. Aromatic, sweet, and full of flavor. Produces small, long berries. Grows in zones 3-10. Direct surface sow seeds after last frost in spring. Sow in cool season for zones 9-10. If starting indoors, stratify in fridge for 2-4 weeks. Then plant on surface up to 8 weeks before last frost in moist and slightly acidic soil. Maintain soil temp between 60-70F. Germination can take 2-4 weeks. Harden to cold and transplant outdoors once seedlings develop true leaves, 8 in apart. Bears fruit at end of first season or second. Perennial.
