Aus Shepherd 1733 Boy
The Australian Shepherd, commonly referred to as the "Aussie," is a medium-sized dog breed that originated in the western United States. Despite its name, the breed actually has no direct Australian ancestry. It is believed that the breed developed from various herding breeds that were brought to the United States by Basque shepherds in the 19th century. Australian Shepherds are highly intelligent and energetic dogs that excel at a variety of tasks, including herding, obedience, agility, and search and rescue. They have a strong desire to please their owners and are known for their loyalty and affectionate personalities. The breed is typically medium-sized, with males standing between 20 and 23 inches tall and females standing between 18 and 21 inches tall. They typically weigh between 40 and 65 pounds, with males generally being larger than females. Australian Shepherds have a thick, medium-length coat that comes in a variety of colors, including black, blue merle, red, and red merle.
